PIA Refutes Fake News About Domestic Flights

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has strongly rejected the media reports which claimed that the national flag carrier would no longer serve bottles of mineral water to passengers on domestic flights.

According to the official statement, PIA unequivocally denies such baseless reports intended to mislead our guests, adding that it is misinterpretation by prominent media outlets who acted both irresponsibly and unprofessionally.

PIA will continue to serve mineral water bottles to passengers on all domestic flights along with additional amenities to provide an excellent experience to our guests, the statement concluded.

A day ago, it was reported that PIA had decided to stop serving bottles of mineral water to passengers on all domestic flights and mineral water bottles would only be available on transit flights.

Earlier this week, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had asked the airlines to provide clarification over not serving meals to the passengers on domestic flights.

CAA clarified that the airlines were allowed to resume serving packed meals to passengers on domestic flights last month. CAA had suspended meal service on domestic flights in November last year after a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases.
