Pakistan team management has released Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz from the Test squad ahead of the two-match Test series against the West Indies. The two players have been sent home to rest as the team management decided to manage the workload of the players.

Pakistan’s all-format captain, Babar Azam, revealed that the two players have been sent home due to the workload. He said that Nawaz and Haris have been playing all three formats of the game constantly, and they have been offered some rest before the ODI series against Afghanistan.
“We have decided to manage players’ workload. Haris and Nawaz have been released from the squad to give them some time to refresh. They will spend some time with their families and prepare themselves for Afghanistan’s tour (to take place in Sri Lanka),” Babar stated.

Fast bowler, Haris Rauf, is yet to make his Test debut for the national team, while Nawaz has only played three Test matches.
Babar revealed that the Test squad has been trimmed down to 19 players as Pakistan looks to win the two-match Test series, scheduled to begin on Thursday, 12 August.
