In a bid to eliminate educational disparity, the government is introducing a uniform curriculum for kindergarten to Class 5 in all the educational institutions across Pakistan today.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch the first phase of the Single National Curriculum (SNC) in a special ceremony.
The SNC has been developed by the National Curriculum Council of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training in collaboration with all the education departments of the federating units.
The second phase of the uniform curriculum for Classes 6, 7, and 8 will be implemented in the academic year 2022-23, and the third phase for Classes 9, 10, 11, and 12 will be implemented in the academic year 2023-24.

Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mahmood, said that the current system of education is based on injustice, and added that a uniform curriculum has been introduced for the first time in the country.

He also stated that the uniform curriculum has been implemented in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu, and Kashmir.
