Here’s Pakistan’s Complete Schedule for T20 World Cup

The International Cricket Council has announced the schedule for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Oman and UAE. Pakistan cricket team faces an uphill task as they face India and New Zealand in their first two matches of the 2021 T20 World Cup. The Men in Green will play a minimum of five matches in the Super 12 stage of the tournament and will have to finish in the top two at the end of the round to qualify for the semi-finals of the mega event.

Pakistan’s first match of the tournament will be against the arch-rivals, India, scheduled to be played on 24 October in Dubai at 7 pm Pakistan Standard Time. Both the teams have been placed in Group 2 of the Super 12s, along with New Zealand, Afghanistan, and two qualifiers from the first round.

Pakistan’s second match will be against the Blackcaps, scheduled to be played on 26 October in Sharjah at 7 pm. Pakistan will then go on to face Afghanistan on 29 October. Following that, Pakistan will face the runner-up of Group A on 2 November, and then the winner of Group B on 7 November.

The tournament will commence on 17 October with the first round matches set to be played in Oman and UAE. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 12s round of the tournament, which is scheduled to begin from 23 October.

In preparation for the T20 World Cup, Pakistan is scheduled to play New Zealand in a five-match T20I series and England for a two-match T20I series as both the nations will travel to Pakistan for the first time in over a decade.

The T20I series against New Zealand will be played from 25 September to 3 October at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, while England will play two T20Is against Pakistan on 13 and 14 October at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
