Lahore Police Refuses to Issue Driving Licenses to Unvaccinated Individuals

The City Traffic Police Lahore has issued an alert declaring that it will not issue driving licenses to unvaccinated individuals.

The alert was issued on the orders of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Muntazir Mehdi who said:

Driving licenses will not be issued to unvaccinated individuals. Only the candidates having their vaccination cards will be issued their licenses.

The federal government is taking all the necessary measures to get people vaccinated. Previously, the Government of Sindh made vaccination cards mandatory for hotels and restaurants and requested the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) to make vaccination certificates mandatory for banking services.

Pakistan Railway had announced on 2 September that only partially vaccinated individuals will be able to commute via railway from 15 September, and only fully vaccinated people will be allowed to avail of the service after 15 October.

The National Highway and Motorways Police (NHMP) had issued a similar alert, warning people to get vaccinated before 15 September and carry their vaccination certificates to be allowed to traverse the National Highways.
