A Death in Lahore Forces Punjab Govt to Launch an Anti-Dengue Campaign

Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has issued directives on Sunday for the launch of the anti-dengue campaign across the province after a death was reported due to dengue in Lahore.

The CM instructed commissioners and deputy commissioners to mobilize field teams for anti-dengue drive and perform their duty in an active manner.

According to the details, the CM directed the administrative officers to monitor the measures taken to prevent dengue by ensuring indoor and outdoor surveillance, including in public and private buildings, tire shops, and graveyards.

He said that necessary facilities must be provided to the patients at the dengue wards and counters in hospitals for their treatment.

The CM warned everyone that water shouldn’t get stagnant in houses and on the rooftops.

“It is important to stop dengue in time,” he said and added that concerned authorities should remain active in order to deal with the virus.
