Tickets for India-Pakistan T20 World Cup Match Sold Out Within Hours

Tickets for Pakistan’s highly anticipated T20 World Cup clash against India sold out within hours of being put up for sale over the weekend on Sunday.

Fans quickly flocked to the ticketing website Platinumlist seconds after the International Cricket Council announced that the tickets for the match between fierce rivals Pakistan and India were officially on sale.

Further reports revealed that the seating enclosures, including General, General East, Premium, Pavilion East, and Platinum, have all been sold out. Thousands of users were placed in long queues and the waiting time was said to be close to one hour.

The tickets for the Pakistan-New Zealand encounter have also been sold out. The match also promises to be a cracker after New Zealand pulled out of the Pakistan tour at the last moment.

Premium and Platinum tickets were being sold north of 1,500 Dirhams to as high as 2,600 Dirhams late on Sunday night, and all the tickets were sold out by Monday morning.

Pakistan and India will lock horns in their first match of the Super 12s in the T20 World Cup, and their match is scheduled to take place at the Dubai International Stadium on 24 October.

Pakistan cricket team is keen to turn the tide after winning only one out of eight T20 clashes played against its arch-rival, India. The excitement of cricket fans has increased even more since the International Cricket Council announced that all the venues will operate at 70 percent of the total seating capacity during the tournament.
