The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has devised a fair opportunity for the students of unrecognized colleges of Global Institute, Lahore, for recognition of their degrees.
HEC, through Education Testing Council (ETC), will conduct Special Graduate Assessment Test (SGAT) for the students.
HEC is also exploring the possibility of holding tests for the overseas students of Global Institute in the designated regions viz. Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, subject to receipt of a considerable number of applications — minimum of 100 students from a city.
According to details, Global Institute, Lahore, is a recognized chartered institution in the private sector established vide Punjab Act II of 2011. As per law, the Institute was allowed to operate only at a specific place in Lahore i.e. 3-Aurangzaib Block, New Garden Town, Lahore. In defiance of decisions of the Federal Cabinet and Chancellors’ Committee, the institute established numerous illegal colleges through illegitimate/invalid agreements with certain individuals/institutions by exceeding its territorial limits.
Based on these irregularities and poor record management, Global Institute, Lahore was banned for admissions from Fall 2016, and its NOC was also suspended w.e.f. May 18, 2017.
Education Testing Council (ETC) will conduct the SGAT as per the composition/weightage given on HEC’s website. The students shall be required to pass the test in one attempt with a minimum of 50% marks.
In this regard, HEC also released a Parent and Student Alert through national dailies on January 01, 2023, for information to students to get themselves registered with Education Testing Council (ETC) by January 31, 2023.
The tentative date for the test is March 12, 2023. All stakeholders are being informed through the dissemination of information on the media/HEC website/Global Institute’s office.
HEC reiterates its firm commitment and obligation to maintaining academic standards, merit, and equity across the board.

HEC issued NOC to Global Institute Lahore and all students got registered there then HEC banned admissions 2016.
HEC responsible to attest student degree who registered before 2016.
HEC should informed to Institute HEC will conduct test and now HEC attested degrees of half number of students and instructed to other half number of students get ready for test.
This is injustice, unfair I request to management please cancel this test and review your decision and investigate this matters.

Kon say asool aour qanon kay tehat HEC test ka bol raha hai? Same degree HEC nay verification ki hain aab global aour hec ka financial issue ko lay kar STUDENTS ki zindgee kiyun tabah kar rahay hoo?

Was HEC sleeping when these institutes were running? HEC suspended Global Institute lahore NOC in 2017. What about those whose completed and enrolled before this notification. After completing degrees, HEC is saying to pass a test ( after wasting 7 years) for degrees attestation. Are HEC officials crazy? Its totally illegal and unfair.
HEC is playing with the future of students. After 8 years, HEC remembered to take the test. If you had to take the test, then taking the test when you got X from the institute was a different matter.

Illegally test , after 10 years they are saying to students to give test for degree what kind of law it is? We challenge to all HEC government employees to give test for there degree verification and we all know they will fail. 🥲 We are unlucky to born in Pakistan. Really pathetic education system . The degrees of all employees of HEC should be challenged. It should be verified again after taking test from all HEC employee. Specially all directors/Chairman HEC.
