In August, Vivo introduced the V29e in the Indian market, featuring the Snapdragon 695 SoC and a 64MP camera. Now, the brand has unveiled an international version with notable changes in both design and specifications.
To begin with, the global edition of the Vivo V29e sports a slightly smaller AMOLED screen, measuring 6.67 inches as opposed to the Indian model’s 6.78 inches.
The peak brightness is also slightly reduced to 1,150 nits, down from 1300 nits. While it doesn’t support 1 billion colors or HDR10+, it does feature a 120Hz refresh rate and includes a fingerprint reader for biometric authentication.
Furthermore, the Kryo 660 Silver core within its Snapdragon 695 chip operates at a slightly higher clock speed, measuring 1.8 GHz compared to the 1.7 GHz of its Indian counterpart. The Global vivo V29e does not include a microSD card slot but is equipped with an IP54 rating for added durability.
Differences extend to the camera setups as well. Both variants feature a tri-camera arrangement, comprising a 64MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP selfie camera. However, there are variations in the apertures of the primary and selfie shooters. Notably, the international V29e boasts a circular Smart Aura Light flash for improved lighting.
One significant difference lies in the battery capacity. The Indian Vivo V29e boasts a 5,000 mAh battery, whereas the global iteration is equipped with a 4,800 mAh cell. However, both models share the same 44W wired charging speed.
The international version of the Vivo V29e is offered in three distinct colors, with specific options varying by region—these include black, blue, and gold. While it’s listed with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage on Vivo Thailand’s website, pricing and availability details for this Southeast Asian country are yet to be disclosed.
Meanwhile, in Bangladesh, the Vivo V29e is available in an 8 GB/256 GB configuration, and it can be obtained in gold and black through Vivo’s official website for approximately $340.
