In an effort to enhance road safety and encourage citizens to adhere to traffic rules, the Karachi Traffic Police has increased fines for violating rules.
According to the announcement on the official social media handles of Karachi Traffic Police, these fines will apply to all vehicles, starting from November 1.
Fine for exceeding the speed limit has been increased to Rs. 700 for motorcyclists and Rs. 1000 for cars and jeeps. Furthermore, driving on the wrong side of the road will cost motorcyclists Rs. 2000 and car owners Rs. 3000.
Here are the revised traffic fines for some of the most common violations:
