Pakistani sisters Sehar Sohail and Veronika Sohail have etched their names in history by clinching gold medals at the ongoing Weightlifting Championship in Potchefstroom, South Africa.
Competing in the 52 kg and 57 kg categories respectively, the Pakistani sisters delivered stellar performances in the squat, bench press, deadlift, and overall weight categories.
The Secretary of the Weightlifting Federation, Rashid Malik, confirmed that with the Sohail sisters’ victories, Pakistan’s total gold medal count at the Asian Pacific African Combined Weightlifting Championship has reached an impressive eight. Malik praised the sisters’ dedication and commitment, highlighting their victories as a source of immense national pride.
