Pakistan will take on West Indies in the semi-finals of the World Championship of Legends 2024 and its schedule has been confirmed following South Africa’s victory over India in the final league match at Northampton’s County Ground.
Despite their 54-run loss, the Indian team, known as the Men in Blue, secured a place in the semi-finals. They achieved the necessary 153-run target to advance by posting 156/6 in their 20-over innings.
India is set to face Australia in the second semi-final, while Pakistan will compete against the West Indies in the first semi-final.
Australia topped the points table, thanks to their impressive 55-run win against the West Indies. Both Pakistan and Australia ended the league stage with eight points from five matches, but Australia’s superior Net Run Rate (NRR) edged them ahead of Pakistan.
The semi-final lineup promises thrilling encounters as four formidable teams vie for a spot in the World Championship of Legends final.
India’s resilient performance despite the recent loss, Australia’s dominant run, Pakistan’s consistent play, and West Indies’ competitive edge set the stage for an exciting conclusion to the tournament.
Both the semi-finals will be played on July 12 at the same venue, Northampton, while the final is slated for July 13 in Birmingham.
