Here’s Why US Champ Logan Paul Will Not be Part of WWE’s Japan Tour

It looks like YouTuber and current WWE United States Champion, Logan Paul will not be participating in WWE’s upcoming tour in Japan, with rumors suggesting it is due to his past controversial antics during his last visit to the “Land of the Rising Sun.”

The official reason given by the WWE was that Logan Paul had “another commitment,” but many fans and commentators believe the US Champion is avoiding the tour due to a notorious incident in Japan that occurred in 2017.

The infamous incident in question took place in December 2017, when Logan Paul posted a vlog featuring himself and friends exploring Aokigahara Forest, also known as the “Suicide Forest.” The forest is tragically known as a site where many people have taken their own lives.

During the vlog, Logan Paul and his group encountered the body of a deceased person. Rather than turning off the camera and showing respect, Logan Paul filmed the body up close and made comments that were widely deemed inappropriate and insensitive. The video led to global backlash and condemnation, significantly damaging Logan’s reputation. Although he issued a public apology and has since attempted to show personal growth, the incident has left a lasting stain on his image, particularly in Japan.

With WWE set to tour Japan in the coming weeks, Logan Paul’s absence has raised eyebrows. While the official line attributes his non-participation to other commitments, many believe that his problematic history with Japan played a significant role in the decision. Japan, a country that deeply values honor and respect, might not have welcomed Logan Paul back with open arms, making his inclusion in the tour potentially problematic for WWE.

It is not uncommon for WWE wrestlers to avoid certain regions or countries, either by personal choice or due to safety concerns advised by the company. Although Logan Paul has not been officially banned from Japan, it is understood that his return would not be well-received, prompting WWE to sidestep any potential issues by excluding him from the tour.
