After the issue of lamination paper, the ink in the Passport and Immigration office has also finished.
Sources told ProPakistani that ink in the passport office has ended due to which the passport and immigration office will not be able to print the normal and urgent passports.
The issue of lamination paper already delayed the printing of passports and if the department’s high-ups do not address the ink shortage, both normal and urgent passports will not be printed, sources added.
The situation in the passport and immigration office is deteriorating due to incompetence and mismanagement by the high-ups. Sources added that these issues are arising because the high-ups plan to change the status of the Directorate of Passport and Immigration into an authority.
Sources added that the Directorate of the Passport Office spent approximately Rs. 60 million on renovations instead of making arrangements for ink as well as lamination papers to facilitate the Pakistanis.
The incumbent director general is working to transform the passport office into an authority, which would grant him full control, including the budget as well. This change would allow him to make decisions independently, similar to the Principal Accounting Officer in each ministry or division.
It is important to note that the passport office has failed to deliver passports on time, both for normal and urgent categories.
Recently, overseas Pakistanis also complained to the interior minister during his visit to London about delays in receiving their passports. Following these complaints, the minister directed the passport office to expedite services for overseas Pakistanis.
How incompetent the head of this department could be who even can’t keep up the stationary stock with coordination of colleagues.

Such a pathetic system of Pakistan…. Illiterate nonsense people are sitting in these departments…I gave urgent fee which is way too high already still looking for my passport from a month…They are really Bullshits people and extremely unorganised system!
I have applied for passport renewal on 15th April-24 still on waiting to collect the my passport but no proper response by the management or reply to the emails which I have sent to them . What we can do just chill and we are living where we are bounded to pay taxes only . Hope for the best but in Pakistan you can wait ,wait and then wait . Ha ha ha
