The final training camp for the Pakistan Street Child Football Team, preparing for the Norway Cup 2024, will commence in Islamabad on July 21.
This crucial training session will be held at the Islamabad Sports Complex from July 21 to July 25, where the squad for the Norway Cup 2024 will be finalized. The national team is set to depart for Norway on July 25 to participate in the event.
Last month, the administration of the Street Child Football Team conducted trials across the country for the Norway Cup, drawing thousands of young participants.
The Norway Cup is scheduled to take place in Oslo from July 27 to August 3. This will be the fifth time the Pakistan Street Child Football Team will compete in this prestigious event.
The national team previously secured second place in the 2015 Norway Cup, third place in 2016, and again second place in 2023.
Notably, the Pakistan team remained undefeated in last year’s Norway Cup. In the 2022 Street Child Football World Cup held in Doha, Qatar, the national team was unbeaten in the group matches but faced a narrow 3-4 defeat against Egypt in the final.
Additionally, Pakistan was the runner-up in the 2018 Street Child Football World Cup in Russia and secured third place in the 2014 event in Brazil.
