Flight Cancellations and Delays Continue to Hit Karachi Airport

Passengers at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi faced significant disruptions on Tuesday morning as several outgoing flights were either delayed or canceled.

The most notable delay was with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-301, which was scheduled to depart for Islamabad but experienced a delay of one hour.

AirSial faced multiple cancellations that added to the chaos. Flight PF-122, which was set to travel from Karachi to Islamabad, was canceled without prior notice. Similarly, AirSial’s PF-144, a flight from Karachi to Lahore, was also canceled.

Airblue, another major airline operating in Pakistan, also faced disruptions. Its Islamabad-bound flight PA-201 was canceled, leaving many passengers with no choice but to rebook on later flights or seek alternative modes of transportation.

Serene Air’s flight ER-523, scheduled to fly from Karachi to Lahore, was among the other cancellations reported. Passengers who were planning to visit Lahore for business, family visits, or other commitments found themselves stranded at the airport, with little information on the next available flights.

The reasons for these delays and cancellations were not immediately clear. While technical issues, operational challenges, and weather conditions are common causes, the airlines have yet to provide detailed explanations. The lack of communication from the airlines has only added to the frustration of the affected passengers, many of whom took to social media to express their dissatisfaction.

Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for the latest updates on flight statuses before heading to Karachi airport.
