Samsung’s Most Premium Galaxy Watch is Getting Worn Out Within Days

Samsung’s newest and most expensive smartwatch is already in hot water. Just weeks after hitting stores, some owners of the Galaxy Watch Ultra are reporting a serious problem: the paint is peeling off.

One person who bought the grey version of the watch noticed the paint chipping away near the bottom left corner after only a few days, even though they were careful with it. This is the latest quality issue for Samsung, after problems with its Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earbuds.

It seems like the paint problem is only happening with the grey Galaxy Watch Ultra. The other colors don’t have as much paint.

The watch owner who had shared the issue on Reddit talked to Samsung and was told to go to a repair shop. But the shop didn’t have the parts to fix it. So, the owner called Samsung again and was offered $22 to keep the broken watch. When they asked for a new one, things got even more complicated.

Return Hassle

First, the watch owner had to return the broken watch for a refund. They got a discount on the watch because they pre-ordered it with a phone, so they got a special shipping label to send it back. It will take two weeks to get their money back.

Then, they had to buy a new watch using a link Samsung sent them, but it was the full price, not the pre-order price. After getting the refund for the broken watch, they have to call Samsung again to get back the difference between the two prices.
