Pakistan Gear Up to Host ATF U16 Championship Qualifiers

The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) is set to host the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) Under-16 championship. Top players from around the world will showcase their skills in the upcoming events in Islamabad and Lahore.

That’s not all, Pakistan has also scheduled a series of tennis events for next year as PTF has received significant support from the ATF.

Aisam ul Haq’s initiatives as the Pakistan Tennis Federation president were appreciated by the International Tennis Federation. He met with top officials from ITF in London and proposed various projects including the development of wheelchair tennis.

Additionally, Aisam has also offered advice regarding the Kazakhstan training camp. As a result, a generous 50% subsidy is provided to facilitate hosting the U16 championship launching event as well as awarding hosting rights for four ITF events in the country.

In this regard, the ATP security team will visit Pakistan next month.

A tennis training camp for talent scouting has already commenced in Karachi. Furthermore, the upcoming championship event will also provide a unique opportunity for U16 athletes to showcase their tennis skills.

Meanwhile hosting the U16 ATF championship will not only highlight Pakistan’s potential as a host for international sports events but will also enhance the country’s tennis infrastructure.
