Bakheet Ateeq al-Remeithi, the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Karachi, has urged Pakistanis residing in the UAE to avoid disseminating negative propaganda about Pakistan, its institutions, or its politicians.
The Consul General said that Pakistanis in the UAE had been posting negative content about Pakistan on social media. This has led to several arrests, with many people sentenced to 14 to 15 years in prison.
Furthermore, more than five Pakistanis were given life sentences, and most of those involved were deported. The Consul General also warned that Pakistanis participating in such activities would be denied visas for Gulf countries, including the UAE.
He advised against sharing or forwarding negative content on social media, warning that strict legal action would be taken against those who do. The UAE Consul General also urged Pakistanis to set aside their political disputes and not bring them to Dubai.
Bakheet Ateeq confirmed that there are no restrictions on UAE visas, and they are still being issued with full consular services. However, he added that visa rules have become stricter.
He also recommended that Pakistanis explore tourist spots in their country before visiting Dubai.
