Pakistan U15 Team Suffer Defeat In Norway Cup 2024 Final On Penalty Shoot Out

Norway’s KFUM-Kam Oslo Bla narrowly defeated Better Future Pakistan’s U15 team in a penalty shootout at the Norway Cup 2024 Final.

After a 60-minute battle, the match ended in a 2-2 draw, with Shahbaz Ali and Salman scoring for the Pakistan Under-15 side. The game then went on to penalties, where Pakistan missed a crucial chance, allowing KFUM-Kam Oslo Bla to seize victory and claim the title.

Despite the loss, Better Future Pakistan showcased impressive skills throughout the tournament, netting 35 goals and conceding only four in nine matches.

On Friday, the Pakistan Street Child Football Team, competing as Muslim Hands FC, also faced a heartbreaking defeat in the U17 category semi-finals. They lost to Forde IL in a penalty shootout.

Pakistan initially conceded an early goal but made a strong comeback, equalizing in the second half to end regular time at 1-1. In a fascinating penalty shootout, Pakistan missed a vital opportunity, and Forde IL capitalized to secure their spot in the final.

Last year, the Pakistan U-17 team was undefeated throughout the tournament and they secured decisive victories against all of their opponents but ultimately lost the final against Sola FK on penalties, 10-9.

In the Norway Cup 2023, Pakistan netted a total of 28 goals while only conceding three, demonstrating their ability to not just win matches but do so with significant margins.

Muslim Hands FC had an outstanding tournament run, scoring 26 goals while conceding just five.
