The Kaghan Highway has reopened partially after a six-day closure caused by the collapse of a bridge at Mahandri.
This temporary reopening has resulted in an influx of pedestrians in the area. Officials from the National Highway Authority have confirmed that a steel bridge will be installed within three days, enabling the highway to accommodate all types of traffic.
Currently, only small vehicles can use the partially reopened highway. This development has been welcomed by the public, who faced significant commuting challenges during the closure.
According to officials, traffic was restored by installing water pipes in the Munawar stream. Efforts are ongoing around the clock to open the bridge for heavy traffic. The bridge is expected to be fully operational soon.
