His golden throw of 92.97 meters in his second attempt not only shattered the Olympic record but also dethroned his close friend, India’s Neeraj Chopra, the Tokyo Olympic gold medalist.

Nadeem’s victory was a culmination of years of hard work, practice, and prayers. His story is one of determination, coming from humble beginnings in Mian Channu, Punjab, where his father, a construction worker, struggled to make ends meet.

The local community even pooled funds to support Nadeem’s training and travel for international javelin competitions when he was struggling.

From a young age, Nadeem showed athletic prowess, excelling in various sports. Although he initially pursued cricket, his potential in athletics was recognized by coach Rasheed Ahmad Saqi, who guided him to greatness. Nadeem’s victory in Paris is a testament to his unwavering dedication and the collective support of his community.
