Over 200 pros will duke it out to secure the 4 remaining sports in next week’s main tournament as the Tekken 8 Last Chance Qualifiers start in Riyadh today.
A litany of notable players from Pakistan, France, UK, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Thailand, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the USA will be doing their best to make sure to advance to the ESports World Cup proper.Â
At Least 16 top Pakistani players, namely; Hafiz Tanveer, Hafiz Adeel, Malik Ash, Usama Abbasi, Qasim Meer, Awais Liaqat, Irtaza, Dawood Sikandar, Mohsin Shooter, Kashi Snake, Sajawal, Ahsan Ali, Numan Chaudhry, Khan, Esharib and Awais Honey have signed on for this Middle Eastern Melee.
With the competitors spread out among 8 pools, this race for the top 4 will be a dogged one. The Pakistani contingent is likely to face some stiff competition. Talented players such as Joka, JDCR, AO, Super Akouma, Shadow 20z, PINYA, Saint, Book, Tibetano, and YUYU in particular look set to provide a stern test.
The LCQ will run from the 15th to the 17th of August, with the top 4 advancing to the main event which will take place from the 22nd to the 25th of August. It should be noted that 5 Pakistanis, namely; Arslan Ash, Atif Butt, Farzeen, Bilal and The Jon have already qualified for the main event by virtue of good placement in various international tournaments.Â
With a gargantuan Prize Pool of $1 million, every competitor will be striving to put on their best performance.
