ADB Completes Pre-Feasibility Study for Modern Bus Terminal in Islamabad

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has completed a pre-feasibility study for constructing a modern bus terminal in Islamabad to improve the public transport system.

The completion of the pre-feasibility was announced in a meeting on Thursday, between a delegation from the ADB and CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, to discuss the prospects for establishing a modern bus terminal

The proposed bus terminal will be constructed on 32 acres in Sector I-11, featuring a commercial area, overnight car parking for big buses and minibusses, and connections to key locations in Islamabad.

The project seeks to eliminate encroachments, improve traffic flow, and provide modern travel facilities to passengers.

The CDA Chairman directed the adoption of the best financial model to ensure the project’s feasibility.

Once completed, the bus terminal will significantly enhance the public transport infrastructure in the Federal Capital, making travel more efficient and convenient for citizens.
