Mark Chapman Reveals the Most Challenging Pakistani Bowler He Faced

New Zealand cricketer Mark Chapman recently expressed admiration for Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf in a ProSports podcast, praising his speed on the field.

Mark Chapman, who has faced a variety of bowlers in international cricket, singled out Rauf as one of his favorites to compete against, emphasizing the unique challenge he poses to his opposing batters.

“Obviously, Pakistan has a proud history of fast bowlers, and it’s well known that they’ve produced some of the best in the world,” Chapman said in a recent interview. “Someone I’ve always enjoyed playing against is Haris Rauf. He bowls pretty quick!”

The Kiwi batter commended Rauf’s impressive skill set, particularly highlighting his deceptive slower deliveries. “The skills and accuracy that he possesses are world-class. One of his greatest strengths is his slower ball. It’s tricky because he manages to maintain the same arm speed, but the ball comes out 20 kph slower.”

Chapman explained how Rauf’s slower balls often catch batters off guard. “You think the ball is coming at 150 kph, but it hasn’t arrived yet when you’ve already swung. It’s especially challenging when you don’t have many balls left to face.”

Chapman’s remarks reflect the high regard many international cricketers hold for Pakistan’s pace bowling tradition, with Haris Rauf emerging as one of the country’s most formidable talents on the global stage.
