Erling Haaland Matches Iconic Cristiano Ronaldo Record

Widely regarded as one of the best strikers of this generation, Erling Haaland has once again proven why he is the next Cristiano Ronaldo.

In Sunday’s nail-biting 2-2 Premier League draw against title contenders Arsenal, Haaland netted his 100th goal in 105 appearances.

Apart from keeping Erling Haaland on the top of the Premier League goalscorers list, the goal has also helped the Norwegian striker add another milestone achievement to his name.

The goal has put Erling Haaland level with an iconic record set in 2011, when Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 100th goal for Real Madrid, also in his 105th match.

This is hardly uncharted territory for the Manchester City starlet, with Haaland having already broken the record for most goals through four games of the Premier League season with nine, which includes two hat tricks. That record was originally set by Wayne Rooney who scored eight goals in Manchester United’s first four matches of the 2011/12 season.

With the English Premier League just getting into high gear, Manchester City fans will be hoping their star striker retains this illustrious touch throughout the season and leads them to yet another title win.
