Mobile phone and internet services have been disrupted in various areas of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, causing difficulties for citizens.
Mobile service signals in Peshawar have been partially suspended. Citizens report that mobile phone signals have disappeared at various locations in the city, and internet service is also extremely slow.
Residents have reported that in some areas, mobile phone signals and internet data are not working at all. Mobile networks in Peshawar have been partially affected for several days already, causing problems for users in online transactions and other services.
The reasons for this disruption have not yet been revealed.
It should be noted that yesterday, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) stated that internet disruptions and slowdowns would end by the end of October, meaning citizens still have the rest of the month to suffer from.
According to PTA sources, the installation and upgradation of the Web Management System will be completed by October 20. The installation of WMS will also help prevent attacks on the internet system.
Last weekend, internet and mobile services were completely inaccessible in Islamabad amid PTI protests. Several key routes were also blocked off due to the protests, including parts of the Islamabad Expressway, Muree Road, Faizabad Interchange, D Chowk, and a few others. Internet services remained available for nearly two days before recovering.
