Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has expressed his desire to take his talents over to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) once his octagon career is done.
The 31-year-old expressed his wishes during a WWE house show in Manchester, England in a segment that featured current WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes and WWE Heavyweight Champion Gunther.
Aspinall would go on to address the heel in his promo, telling him that he is coming for his belt. The UFC champion stated,
When I have retired from MMA, I’m switching over to WWE and I’m gonna be the WWE Heavyweight Champ.

The 31-year-old will not be the first fighter to jump into a WWE ring and vice versa. Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, and CM Punk have all tested the waters in both MMA and WWE.
Both WWE and UFC are owned by TKO Group Holdings which made the presence of three world champions in the same ring more memorable.
Cody Rhodes and Gunther are set to clash with each other at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh on November 2nd.
Meanwhile, Aspinall will be a cover fighter for UFC 309 headliners Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. With Jones’ long absence from the sport, Tom Aspinall has taken his place at the top of the heavyweight division with many considering him the true champion ahead of the American.
The Englishman is currently on a three-match win streak and boasts an overall record of 15 wins and 3 losses.
