The administration of Haramain Sharifain has introduced a new locker system to provide enhanced convenience and security for pilgrims visiting the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. This initiative is in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to elevate the quality of services offered to visitors.
Pilgrims can apply for access to the lockers between October 17 and November 15, after which the approved applicants will be notified. The program allows visitors to safely store their personal belongings, enabling them to focus on their prayers without security concerns.
The Haramain Sharifain authority has received royal approval for appointing new imams to both mosques. Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, the head imam of the Grand Mosque, confirmed the appointments of Sheikh Badr Al-Turki and Sheikh Dr. Al-Walid Al-Shamsan to the Grand Mosque, while Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Barhaji and Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Qarafi have been appointed to the Prophet’s Mosque.
These developments mark significant steps in improving the overall experience for pilgrims, combining spiritual leadership with practical support during their religious journeys.
