Top Exciting Signings WWE Likely to Make Before 2025

With the Motor City Machine Guns making their long-awaited WWE debut on last week’s SmackDown, fans are anxious to find out who else might join WWE before the year ends.

Here are eight potential signings that could soon shake up the WWE landscape.

Penta El Zero Miedo

Penta El Zero Miedo, unlike his brother Rey Fenix, who has had his AEW contract extended due to injury, might soon be free to join WWE. While fans hoped for both brothers to arrive as a package deal, Penta could make an exciting solo debut. His potential matches against teams like the Motor City Machine Guns could invigorate WWE’s tag team division. The question remains whether WWE will bring him in early or wait for Fenix to become available.

Danhausen

Danhausen, absent from AEW TV since last December, has been active on the independent circuit throughout 2024. Despite his popularity and top-five merchandise sales in 2023, his AEW future is unclear. Known for his unique “Very Nice, Very Evil” persona, Danhausen could bring a comedic flair to WWE, potentially aligning with his friend CM Punk. While not a typical Triple H signing, he could thrive in NXT or on the main roster.

Wardlow

Wardlow’s status in AEW has been uncertain, especially with Adam Cole’s return to TV and his ongoing rivalry with MJF. Wardlow, the only member of the now-defunct Undisputed Kingdom not on TV, has sparked rumors of a potential WWE move. Although Matt Taven mentioned Wardlow’s absence is injury-related, the lack of updates keeps speculation alive.

Matt Cardona (aka Zak Ryder)

Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder, has been a dominant force on the independent scene, earning the title of “Indy God.” Open about his desire to return, Cardona aims to compete under his real name. His path back might start with NXT, especially given the ongoing NXT and TNA Wrestling partnership. Cardona’s recent TNA return could be a stepping stone back to WWE.

Malakai Black (aka Aleistar Black)

Malakai Black, a former WWE NXT Champion, might not be available until 2025, but his WWE return seems plausible. With his wife Zelina Vega in WWE and his history as a Triple H favorite, Black’s lack of a singles push in AEW could prompt a move. While his House of Black teammate Buddy Matthews has committed to AEW, Black’s future remains uncertain, making a WWE return a possibility.

Ricky Starks

Ricky Starks’ situation in AEW mirrors that of Rey Fenix, with speculation about his future. Although his contract reportedly extends beyond 2024, WWE is interested in the 34-year-old star. Fans eagerly await his debut, whether in NXT or on the main roster, as Starks is seen as a ready-made star for WWE.

Jordynne Grace

Jordynne Grace, the TNA Knockout’s Champion, has been a standout performer in the NXTNA partnership, notably appearing in the 2024 Royal Rumble. With her contract expiring in early 2025, WWE’s likely to pursue her signature. Grace’s impressive performances make her a valuable addition to either the NXT women’s roster or the main roster, where she can compete with the best.

Miro (aka Rusev)

Miro, who reportedly requested his release from AEW over a month ago, has not appeared for the company in 2024. Despite his contract running until 2026, WWE might be interested if AEW decides to release him. Miro’s previous run as Rusev saw his momentum squandered, but a second chance could allow WWE to capitalize on his popularity and potential.

Each of these stars brings unique talents and charisma that could significantly impact WWE’s future storylines and matches.
