Industry speculation is building around the expected announcements, with Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman indicating that Apple has been developing a new Mac mini powered by the M4 chip. According to Gurman’s sources, this upcoming model is expected to feature an even more compact form factor than its predecessor, with dimensions reportedly approaching those of the Apple TV 4K.

There should be a broader rollout of Apple’s M4 chip, which currently powers only the 2024 iPad Pro lineup. The expansion is expected to include refreshed versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, alongside an updated iMac.

Sources familiar with Apple’s plans suggest the company will also introduce enhanced variants of the M4 chip – specifically the Pro and Max versions. Reports indicate that the upcoming MacBook Pro refresh and new Mac mini will offer configuration options with the standard M4 and M4 Pro chips. The MacBook Pro models are expected to have an additional premium option featuring the M4 Max processor.

However, several devices are reportedly not scheduled for updates in this announcement cycle. The MacBook Air, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro are expected to maintain their current configurations until 2025 when they’re slated for their respective refreshes
