Has Fakhar Zaman Left His PR Agency?

Pakistan’s hard-hitting batter Fakhar Zaman has once again made headlines in the sporting circles concerning his activities outside the playing stadium. The latest mystery relates to his association with Saya Cooperation which represents most of the Pakistan cricket team’s athletes. 

It was reported that Fakhar had terminated his relationship with his agents after being left out of Pakistani squads for the Australia tour and being dropped from PCB’s centrally contracted players list. Fakhar was said to be blaming his agents for his predicament which followed his open public support of Babar Azam-another one of Saya’s clients-after he was dropped from the test series against England. 

Fakhar’s fortunes changed quickly afterwards with PCB issuing a show-cause notice to the batter before ultimately dropping him from contract and touring lists. Although it was claimed that the decision was made due to his ongoing battle with a knee injury, it did not satisfy growing voices in the cricketing community who seemed to find the timing of his demise a little fishy.

Recently a Tweet from his elder brother X’s account revealed that he had left the Saya Corps as a result. The news was quickly rebuffed and the tweet quickly disappeared from the blogosphere raising even more questions than answers.

While the ultimate truth may never be found, Fakhar Zaman will be hoping to turn the headlines away from his personal life and more towards his gameplay as he looks to get back into PCB’s good graces and make a return to the international team.
