The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) has officially extended an invitation to Pakistan’s national women’s team for an international friendly match set to take place during the upcoming FIFA window.
This historic showdown is scheduled to be held in Qatar, marking a pivotal moment in women’s football for both nations.
In addition to the friendly, sources indicate that the teams may also conduct a joint training camp, fostering collaboration and competition on the international stage.
Pakistan women’s football team has struggled to find suitable opponents during FIFA’s appointed windows, hindering the player’s development since being cleared to take part in international competitions. Pakistan’s team recently took part in the South Asian Football Federation Championship finishing with a loss to India and a massively encouraging draw against the eventual champs Bangladesh.
Despite all the chaos that still surrounds the Pakistan Football Federation, the players have always been ready to answer the country’s call whenever the opportunity has presented itself despite the limited resources available to them.
SAFF, meanwhile, has been doing its part in helping Pakistan football get back on its feet after recently sending its national team to Islamabad for the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
