Pakistan Women’s Future Tour Program Announced

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled an ambitious Future Tours Programme (FTP) for women’s cricket, setting the stage from 2025 to 2029 with Pakistan set for more playing time.

This announcement marks the fourth edition of the ICC Women’s Championship and signals a new era with expanded participation and more competitive action across formats according to ICC.

Each team will play eight other teams across four home and four away series, resulting in a total of 132 ODIs played in 44 series, with each series featuring three matches. Pakistan has been given hosting duties against England, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, and New Zealand while the team will visit South Africa, West Indies, Ireland and Sri Lanka.

Zimbabwe has been included in the tournament line-up for the first time.

Over 400 matches are scheduled across all formats of the next Women’s Future Tour which will make the 2025-29 FTP cycle a non-stop thrill for the cricketing fans.

The calendar is also packed with an ICC Women’s tournament every year, starting with the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2025, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2026, the inaugural ICC Women’s Champions Trophy in 2027, and another T20 World Cup in 2028.
