Honor Unveils Its Toughest Phone Yet With Massive 6,600 mAh Battery and More

Honor has just unveiled the Honor X9c, an upgrade from last year’s X9b, and it’s a powerhouse in durability, battery life, and camera capabilities. Honor has designed the X9c to be its toughest Honor phone yet.

The phone not only has 2 meters of drop protection, but also IP65M certification against water jets, enhanced scratch resistance, and the ability to operate at extreme temperatures.

Design and Display

The Honor X9c features a 6.78” curved OLED display with 1,224 x 2,700px resolution, delivering color-accurate visuals with 10-bit color support. With an incredible peak brightness of 4,000 nits, content is easy to view even under direct sunlight, while the 3,840Hz PWM dimming ensures a smooth viewing experience that’s easy on the eyes.

The display has a pill-shaped cutout for the front camera, adding a modern look to this rugged phone. Available in Titanium Purple, Jade Cyan, and Titanium Black, the X9c has a striking design for any style.

Internals and Software

Under the hood, the Honor X9c is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, delivering reliable performance that can handle multitasking, some light gaming, and more. It comes with three memory configurations: 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, and a high-end 12/512 GB variant, so users can choose the option that suits their needs best.

Running on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14, the X9c offers a smooth and updated user experience with seamless functionality. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and comprehensive positioning support through GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou.

The 5MP ultra-wide lens complements the main camera to capture expansive shots.

On the front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera with 1080p video recording capabilities, perfect for capturing clear selfies and video calls.

Battery and Pricing

One of the X9c’s standout features is its powerhouse 6,600 mAh battery, offering exceptional endurance that allows for up to 26 hours of online video playback on a single charge. And when you need to recharge, the 66W fast charging feature gets you back up quickly.
