The schedule for the 2024-25 National Women’s One Day Cup was announced earlier today, with the event slated to start this upcoming Friday.
The National Women’s One Day Cup will feature five teams and will be held in Karachi in its entirety. The teams of Challengers, Conquerors, Invincibles, Stars, and Strikers will face off in a double-league format, with each team playing eight matches in total. The top two teams at the end of the league phase will advance to the final, which is scheduled for November 30.
According to the schedule, two 50-over matches will be played daily, over two venues, namely the HPC Oval Ground and the UBL Sports Complex. All matches are set to start at 9:30 am, with tosses taking place at 9:00 am.
The 21-match tournament also offers a prize pool of PKR 3.3 million, with the champions earning PKR 1.5 million and the runners-up receiving PKR 1 million.
The five mentors who participated in the Bahria Town Champions One-Day Tournament 2024 will also support the teams in this competition.
Waqar Younis will guide the Challengers, while Misbah-ul-Haq will mentor the Conquerors and Sarfaraz Ahmed will work with the Invincibles. Shoaib Malik will be looking after the Stars, and finally, Saqlain Mushtaq will oversee the Strikers.
