The Utility Stores Corporation has announced a big decrease in the price of sugar at its outlets across the country.
According to an official notification, the price of sugar at Utility Stores has been decreased by Rs. 13 per kg.
Sugar will now be available at utility stores for Rs. 140 per kg, down from the previous rate of Rs.153 per kg.
This comes as a big relief for individuals on tight budgets. More importantly, it comes a little over a month after the federal government decided to end all subsidies on essential food items at the state-run outlets, which dramatically increased the prices of staples like flour, ghee, sugar, pulses, and rice.

Normal shops rate is 140 per kg and in whole sale markets we have rates 130 (last week purchased on this price ) and 132 per kg and our Govt subsidized stores are on 140 per kg…. 🤣 🤣 🤣
