The making of mobile videos in the corridors of Parliament House has been prohibited, according to a report by 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
A spokesperson for the National Assembly Secretariat stated that anyone violating this rule will have their mobile phone confiscated, and their entry into Parliament will be restricted.
The spokesperson explained that the Speaker of the National Assembly made this decision in response to complaints from members of Parliament. Some journalists were reportedly recording interviews and comments from members without their consent, which led members to bring their concerns to the Speaker’s attention.
