Notices Sent to Schools for Violating Shutdown Orders Amid Smog

On Thursday, the District Education Authority (DEA) Lahore took action against several educational institutions for failing to comply with the mandated closure due to smog.

The DEA Lahore issued show-cause notices to these schools, requiring them to attend personal hearings to explain their non-compliance. Deputy District Education Officers (DEOs) and Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) have been visiting schools to ensure adherence to the government’s orders.

The schools that received notices were located in Shahdara, Walton, EME, Manawan, Darughwala, Ferozepur Road, and Murghazar. These institutions are scheduled for further inspection on Monday, November 11.

CEO of DEA Lahore, Nazir Hussain, emphasized that the government’s orders would be strictly enforced. He warned that schools continuing to violate the directives would face the cancellation of their registrations.
