Pakistan baseball team stormed past the hosts UAE in the final of the Arab Classic hosted by Baseball United to win the title undefeated.
After an even opening two innings, Pierce Khan blew the game wide open for the visitors with the final’s first RBI single before Pakistan took complete control of the game. Moosa Nonomiya homered for Pakistan for the game’s first home run and in a flash, Pakistan raced to a 7-1 lead in the 7th innings before eventually winning 12-1.
The win in the Arab Classic final means that Pakistan went 6-0 in the competition, winning over Bangladesh, UAE (x2), India, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. As the highest-rated team in the tournament, Pakistan was rarely challenged with their closest margin of victory being 3-0 against Sri Lanka in the semi-final.
Pakistan’s Muhammad Husain was also named the MVP of the Tournament following the championship game.
The Arab Classic was a tournament organized by Baseball United, the only baseball promotion working to spread the game in the Middle East.
Pakistan sent a 14-member team to take part in the 4-day competition.
