Most Poluted Cities in Pakistan Today – 13 November, 2024

Lahore currently leads Pakistan’s most polluted cities according to real-time air quality data from IQAir. The city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) level has soared to a critical 435, marking severe health concerns for residents.

Punjab’s other major cities, Multan and Rawalpindi, are also grappling with dangerously high pollution levels, placing second and third on the list.

The ranking shows a concerning trend of high AQI levels across the country, particularly in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The air quality in these cities has reached levels that pose significant health risks, especially for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions.

Following are the most polluted cities in Pakistan today:

Rank City Province US AQI

2 Multan Punjab 324
3 Rawalpindi Punjab 273

6 Abbottabad Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 163
7 Haripur Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 139
