Squash Legend Jansher Khan Inducted Into the Hall of Fame

Pakistani squash legend Jansher Khan has been honored with induction into the Professional Squash Association (PSA) Hall of Fame.

The ceremony took place last night at the Hong Kong Football Club, ahead of the Hong Kong Squash Open scheduled for December 2-8.

Joining the Icons

Jansher Khan was inducted alongside Malaysia’s Nicol David as the latest entrants into the PSA Hall of Fame, joining inaugural members Susan Devoy and Jahangir Khan. Launched earlier this year, the Hall of Fame recognizes the most influential figures in squash history.

A Record-Breaking Career

Jansher Khan’s career is a testament to Pakistan’s dominance in squash during the 1980s and 1990s. He holds the men’s record with eight World Championship titles and boasts six British Open titles, solidifying his place among the sport’s legends.

With an unprecedented 99 professional titles and a reign as World No.1 for an incredible 97 months, Khan’s achievements remain unmatched in the annals of squash.

Jansher’s Pride and Gratitude

Expressing his joy, Jansher said:

I feel very happy because Hong Kong is my second home. I played the Hong Kong Open for many years and won it eight times. Hong Kong is the best place for me. I’m very happy to be here, see old friends, and receive this honor.

The PSA Hall of Fame induction cements Jansher Khan’s legacy as one of the sport’s all-time greats.
