Honda Prepares to Launch Third-Generation Amaze in India

Honda Cars India is preparing for the launch of the third-generation Amaze, set for December 4, 2024. Ahead of its release, the company is generating excitement on social media by sharing teasers of the new compact sedan. Recently, the car has been spotted on multiple occasions, heightening anticipation. The launch comes shortly after the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, a key competitor, received its generation update.

The third-gen Amaze showcases a significant transformation in design. Honda’s previous sketches have hinted at a modern and dynamic design inspired by its larger models like the City and Elevate. The front of the car features a sleek, low-slung hood with sharp creases, reminiscent of the City’s styling. The grill, though echoing the robust design of the Elevate, is more refined. Elegant LED headlights are connected by a chrome strip, enhancing the car’s sporty look. The new front bumper adds further to its aggressive appeal.

Moving to the side, the new Amaze features clean and smooth lines, contributing to its sleek and modern profile. The rear end adopts elements from the City, including a low-profile boot spoiler and elongated LED taillights. Overall, the new design gives the Amaze a fresh and appealing look, making it more competitive in the compact sedan segment.

Interior and Features

Inside, the new Amaze offers a clean and minimalistic design focused on practicality. The cabin features dual-tone beige and black interiors, accented with metal inserts. The center console includes multiple charging ports, a 12V charging socket, and a floating infotainment system. Automatic climate control with toggle switches enhances convenience.

The three-spoke steering wheel is similar to the one in the Elevate. Technology features expected in the new Amaze include wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a wireless phone charger. A semi-digital instrument cluster provides easy access to important information. In terms of safety, the Amaze is expected to come with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESP), and traction control.

Powertrain and Performance

Under the hood, the third-generation Amaze will be powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated iVTEC petrol engine. This engine produces 89 bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque. The car will offer two transmission options: a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission, providing flexibility for different driving preferences.

With these updates, the new Amaze is set to be a more stylish and feature-packed option in the compact sedan market, offering a strong challenge to its rivals in the segment.
