Although smaller devices remain uncommon, the popularity of 6.3-inch flagships like the iPhone 16 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro, Xiaomi 15, and vivo X200 Pro Mini highlights a clear demand for more manageable form factors. Now, OnePlus seems eager to tap into this slot.
According to a recent rumor from China, OnePlus is actively developing a compact flagship powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The phone will reportedly feature a 6.3-inch display with a “1.5K” resolution, ensuring sharp visuals and a high-quality viewing experience. Furthermore, the device is expected to include a 50 MP main camera, using Sony’s IMX906 sensor, which promises excellent image clarity and detail.
In terms of design, OnePlus has opted to forgo a periscope zoom camera, setting this device apart from other flagship models. Additionally, the camera module will reportedly follow a horizontal layout, drawing comparisons to Google’s Pixel series. Early prototypes suggest that OnePlus is testing an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for this compact flagship. However, the company is also considering switching to an ultrasonic sensor, which could enhance speed and accuracy.
