Mohsin Naqvi Meets Prince Saud to Discuss Cricketing Ties With Saudi Arabia

Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, recently met with Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation, to explore collaborative efforts for advancing cricket and player development in Saudi Arabia.

In the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to the global promotion of cricket. He invited Prince Saud to attend the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan, underscoring the PCB’s commitment to fostering strong cricketing ties.

“We are committed to supporting cricket development and infrastructure enhancement in Saudi Arabia,” Mohsin Naqvi stated, highlighting Pakistan’s readiness to assist in constructing modern stadiums and facilities.

Mohsin Naqvi also emphasised the importance of nurturing young talent and proposed a player exchange program to provide emerging Saudi cricketers with professional training opportunities in Pakistan.

“Saudi Arabia can send its emerging players to Pakistan for training,” Naqvi suggested. “A player exchange program will be a significant step in fostering cricketing growth.”

Mohsin Naqvi added that “Saudi Arabia is like a second home for every Pakistani, and we are eager to collaborate in this exciting journey.”

Prince Saud bin Mishal expressed enthusiasm for strengthening ties with Pakistan, citing Saudi Arabia’s growing passion and achievements in cricket. “There are approximately 18,000 cricket players in Saudi Arabia, and our team recently won the Asian Cricket Council’s Challenge Cup,” Prince Saud shared.

“Collaboration with Pakistan will be instrumental in promoting cricket and realizing our aspirations,” he added.

This meeting Mohsin Naqvi and Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud marks a significant step toward enhancing cricketing relations between the two nations, with a shared vision for developing the sport at both regional and international levels.
