Pakistan has made its mark in the recently released UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2024, with 84 universities securing positions in the global rankings. However, the nation’s highest-ranked institution is placed at 155th, and only three universities have managed to feature in the top 200 globally.

The 15th edition of the rankings, which evaluates universities on their sustainability performance, includes 1,477 institutions from 95 countries, highlighting the global commitment to sustainable development.
The UI GreenMetric Rankings are unique in their focus on assessing the environmental, social, and economic sustainability of universities, drawing attention to areas like climate change, clean energy, water conservation, waste recycling, and green transportation.
