OnePlus Open 2 Launch Date Delayed: Leak

Oppo’s Find N5, expected to launch in China by March 2025, will likely be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 for international markets. However despite the former launching in March, the latter might be delayed by several months.

According to a tipster on X, Sanju Choudhary, the Open 2 will only arrive internationally in the second half of 2025, with July being the earliest possible launch date.

This delay could pose challenges for OnePlus, as the Open 2 is rumored to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. By the time it reaches global markets, Qualcomm will likely be preparing to unveil its next flagship chip in October 2025, potentially overshadowing the Open 2 shortly after its release.

The delayed launch timeline could disappoint international OnePlus fans eager for the foldable device’s next iteration.

The timeline, as revealed by Sanju Choudhary, suggests that OnePlus might struggle to maintain its edge in the flagship segment unless additional features or pricing strategies compensate for the delay. Further details about the Open 2 will likely emerge closer to its anticipated global launch.
