Karachi Temperature to Drop to Single Digit

The ongoing cold wave continues to grip the metropolis, with temperatures expected to drop to 8–10 degrees Celsius on Saturday (today) due to the influence of two weather systems affecting the region.

“Temperatures are likely to decrease under the impact of a high-pressure area over Afghanistan and another system on the eastern side,” explained meteorologist Anjum Nazeer Zaigham.

On Friday, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 10.5°C and a maximum of 26.5°C, with humidity levels dropping to 8% in the evening.

A Met Department advisory indicates that night temperatures in upper and central Sindh are expected to remain 3°C to 4°C below normal. In Larkana and Kambar Shahdadkot, temperatures could be 4°C to 6°C below normal, while in lower Sindh, they are forecasted to be 2°C to 3°C below normal.
