Karachi Faces Another Chilly Night of This Winter

The temperature in Karachi dropped to 6.5°C in some areas late Tuesday night, according to the Met Office on Wednesday.

Data revealed that the city’s average minimum temperature stood at 8.1°C. However, specific locations recorded even lower temperatures, with 6.5°C at Jinnah Terminal, 6.7°C in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, 8.5°C in Mauripur, 9°C at Sharea Faisal, and 9.1°C in Bin Qasim Town.

The maximum temperature during the day reached 26.5°C, while relative humidity was recorded at 54% in the morning and 25% in the evening.

For Thursday (today), Karachi’s minimum temperature is expected to range between 8°C and 10°C.

Zero Degrees in Mithi and Mohenjo Daro
In contrast, Mithi experienced freezing conditions with temperatures dropping to 0°C, while Mohenjo Daro recorded 1.5°C.

The Met Department’s daily advisory predicts that cold to very cold and dry weather will persist across the province. Foggy conditions are also expected in the upper and central districts of Sindh during the night and early morning hours
