Pakistan to Field Two Skiers at Asian Winter Games

Pakistan is set to send a small but determined contingent to the upcoming Asian Winter Games, with alpine skier Mohammad Karim and cross-country skier Mohammad Shabbir representing the nation in Harbin, China.

The prestigious event will take place from February 7 to 14, and the two athletes are ready to showcase their skills in a bid to bring glory to Pakistan on the winter sports stage.

The Athletes

• Mohammad Karim will compete in the alpine skiing events, scheduled to take place from February 8-9. Karim is one of Pakistan’s top alpine skiers and will be looking to make an impact at the Games, continuing his journey on the international winter sports circuit. Karim not only has previous Asian Winter Games experience but has also represented his nation in three Winter Olympics.
• Mohammad Shabbir, the cross-country skier, will be in action from February 8-12. Shabbir’s inclusion in the Games is another significant step in his athletic career, as he continues to hone his skills in one of the most physically demanding winter sports.
